Update!

Ah yes, time to sit down for a second and realize how long it's been since my last blog post. Here's a quick update of what's going on around here...

Zane just finished basketball and has begun indoor soccer. He loves his sports and has enough energy for us all, and some. Due to all this energy, there is an unfortunate odor that is the result. And when I'm short on time and lately that's been often, I throw all 3 of them in the tub and call it good. I think we're coming to the end of this bathing together stage though, so I took one last picture for my memories' sake.

Rub a dub dub,
Three kids in a tub,
And who do you think they be?
Dad would say,
"Junior, Smalls and there's Tiny"
Clean them up, smelly all three!

Gemma is loving that the weather is warming up and enjoying exploring and playing with Bart outside. It amazes me how much her vocabulary has increased just recently and that she will be turning 3 in a just a couple months.

My sweet Ruth is rolling all over and tasting anything within reach. She loves to eat (that's my gene) and I think there are teeth on their way. She is sleeping all night and has moved in with big sis. I'm loving the leg rolls in this picture!

Bart is busy laying eggs. She has layed over 40 now and we are just getting brave enough to try one. It's exciting that we have plenty of eggs to decorate for Easter this year, thanks to our little egg machine. I think her nest is beautiful.

And Bryce. He's been helping me cook on occasion. What a great action shot! Okay, I think he was playing it up a little. He's such a great hubby and we have lots of fun together.

I greeted Bryce at the door yesterday as he made it home from work. We hugged and then he proceeded to remove a booger out of my hair. Pretty sure it was not one of my own. In fact, I remember Ruth sneezing on me not long before he arrived. I'm also pretty sure my hair is not the only place snot had taken up residence. Whatever the case, it didn't even phase him and I even got a kiss. That's real love!

I recommend them all

Our life group is doing this marriage study right now. It's a short study, but full of some great insight.

The best Bible study I have ever taken...hands down. Love this. It has blessed me in ways far beyond parenting alone.

Reading this and doing the online book club with it. It's beautiful.

Abnormal & loving it

With a husband, three kids, a duck and a blog, the blog tends to be the one neglected. And this is a good thing. I finally got around to updating a little.
Bryce said the other day, "Just when I think we're a normal family, something always happens to change that." He didn't say this sadly, but in humor.
I tried for many years to be like everyone else growing up. My personality is one that likes to blend in. God continues to teach me how unique He created me and how He intentionally did so.
Here's my pet duck, Bart.

Things I learned on a snow day

Bart does not enjoy the snow. She really is spoiled. While we all came out to play, she sat on the mat in front of our door and waited to go back inside.

Gemma does not have gloves her size. And her left hand does face the right direction, although you would not know by her glove placement.

Even in freezing temperatures, it is always worth going out to play in the snow with the family.

"Our backyard" is so much fun...and beautiful in the winter!

In a house where little girls reside

I asked Bryce when he got back from running errands the other day, if Jasmine had done them all with him. He looked confused...Jasmine? He he he. :-)
