The kids and I went with my parents to visit my grandparents in Oklahoma this weekend. We went to a couple of parks while there, but one park in particular made quite an impression on our family. A duckling came right up to us while the kids were playing and did not want to leave us. After some searching to make sure he/she was abandoned, we just couldn't leave without it. So, we came home from Bartlesville with "Bart", our new pet duck.
This duck is the most social bird I have ever seen. It loves the kids and follows them anywhere they go. Bart has become particularly fond of Zane.
I guess I thought I just didn't have enough to do with a 5 year old, 2 year old and infant. Why not throw in a duck?! It's never dull around here.
