Healing

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."
James 5:16

Last week I experienced my first serious infection. It was the mother of all mastitis. 104 fever and all that comes with that. Not a good time. What I learned though, was a great lesson in community. I have been a part of 2 life groups now and several Sunday school classes, sharing struggles and praises, while building great friendships. I have prayed for a lot of people, but never been on the receiving end of needing serious prayer. After 3 days of IV treatments, antibiotics and injection, and seeing very little progress, my family started asking for prayer. The next morning there was remarkable change. I know that God healed me and He may have done so through modern medicine. Whatever the case, I am thankful to have experienced the receiving end of the power of prayer.
