We love the fair. We are loyal to our state fair and were loyal to the Texas State Fair when we were Texans. Both lots of fun. It's a combination of the outdoors, unlimited fried food and fun day together as a family that the fair provides that brings us much excitement!
We got our spot early before the pig races began. We wanted to be able to see everything.

One of Zane's highlights was the Slush Factory. You could try a combination of flavors. He went with orange, banana & blue raspberry.

Here is one of the many times Gemma got excited about seeing animals. That was definitely her favorite part! We heard a lot of "oooh" and "Look".
Another highlight for Zane was seeing a real race car. The sun was in his eyes, thus the reason for the hands over his face. It wasn't that he was just overcome with emotion at the sight of the car. :-)
And sadly, I don't have a picture of my highlight....Fried Oreos. I'm a little embarrassed to share with you how much I enjoyed them. But being the health nut that I am, I enjoyed every morsel. Oreos dipped in funnel cake batter, fried and dusted with powdered sugar. I don't even know what else to say.
